Huff, Menu and Muller Reconfirmed as 2012 Chevrolet WTCC Drivers

Fans invited via a Facebook competition to write the best encouraging slogan,

which will be printed on the three race Cruzes at Macau

Rob Huff, Alain Menu and Yvan Muller will be driving the Chevrolet Cruzes in the 2012 World Touring Car Championship (WTCC). The announcement was made today in Zurich, ahead of the three Asian races that will conclude the 2011 WTCC and which will see the three Chevrolet drivers fight for the 2011 Drivers' title.

Following an extremely successful 2011 campaign, which has seen the Chevrolet drivers winning 16 out of the 18 races held so far, the decision to renew the partnerships with Huff, Menu and Muller appears as completely logical and in line with the approach to work with its drivers on a long term basis that Chevrolet has taken since the beginning of its involvement in the WTCC back in 2005. 2012 will be the third season for Yvan with the RML team and the eighth for Rob and Alain.

Today Chevrolet Racing also launched a competition for its fans, through its Facebook account, aimed at finding the best encouraging slogan to support the team at the last race in Macau. The winning message will be printed on all three race cars in Macau and the winner will be invited to attend one of the 2012 WTCC events as Chevrolet's special guest. The initiative is inspired by a similar competition held by the TC2000 Chevrolet team in Argentina, a country where touring car racing is extremely popular among racing fans.
