Trident Racing to enter GP3 Series

Trident Racing is proud to announce their entry in the 2012 GP3 Series, as the GP2 Series feeder championship will be off to its third season. The team, owned by Maurizio Salvadori, has been looking forward to expand for a while, and after having analyzed the best open-wheel championships in Europe, they opted for the most direct and logical choice for a squad with a successful, longtime experience in the GP2 Series.

The GP3 Series represents a really valuable option for Trident Racing, which has been following the championship since its earliest days. In the end, a chance finally came thanks to the mutual agreement with Addax. The Spanish-based team, lined-up since 2010, will continue the collaboration with Trident Racing until the end of the current season, and the Italian Team will be taking its place from January 1st, 2012. In the upcoming collective tests, set for the next weeks, the two teams will co-operate in order to optimize the sporting and logistic aspects of the takeover.

I've always believed in the possibilities of a developmental path between GP3 and GP2, and when the right opportunity came, with the chance to progressively take over Addax, I decided to go for it"

Alejandro Agag, Addax Team

“Addax Team is pleased with this agreement with Trident, that will allow us to focus on our core activity of GP2. We think this will allow our team to be more competitive in the feeder series to F1. We have gained very important experience in GP3, and we wish
