Silverstone plans morning entertainment and breakfast offers for BTCC Early Birds

- Screening of the Korean F1 Grand Prix and Rugby World Cup- Free funfair for kids- Special offers on food and drinksSilverstone is preparing for a bumper crowd at this weekend’s final round of the DUNLOP MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) at Silverstone, in association with Honda Racing. As an incentive for fans to get to the circuit early and make the most of the season finale, the Northamptonshire venue has announced a host of entertainment and ‘breakfast-special’ offers that it will be laying on for race day (Sunday 16 October).Richard Phillips, Managing Director of Silverstone Circuits Limited, said, “In addition to being the last round of the season, there are five drivers still in with a chance of winning the title on Sunday, so we’re expecting a big crowd here at Silverstone. We have an action-packed timetable, with non-stop racing throughout the day, including three BTCC races – the first of which gets underway at 11:45hrs. It’s a relatively early start and we’ve lined up plenty of entertainment for fans wanting to get to the circuit early. The entertainment is also designed to help stagger arrival times and ease traffic flow into the circuit.“The entertainment starts at 07:00hrs on Sunday morning, when we’ll be showing the Formula 1 Korean Grand Prix live in the Paddock Diner, followed by the Rugby World Cup at 09:00hrs. Elsewhere, funfair rides will be free between 08:00 and 09:30hrs for all children. We are also offering a number of ‘breakfast-specials’ in the Paddock Diner between 07:00 and 09:00hrs on Sunday morning. Children aged 15 and under will be able to eat for just £1* and all adults ordering a Club breakfast will be entitled to a free tea or coffee.”Similar offers will be available towards the end of the day. Between 17:00 and 19:00hrs funfair rides will be free for all children, while a ‘buy one get one half price’ offer will be available on all meals in the Paddock Diner. Free soft drinks will also be available in the Paddock Bar*.The final podium and crowning of the 2011 BTCC Champion will take place on the circuit, immediately after the last race of the day. The ceremony will take place on the BTCC podium, in front of the Woodcote Grandstand.Race day tickets are available for £29 in advance (before 12:00hrs on Thursday 13 October), or £35 on the day.
