ROUND 12  FIA WORLD RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP20 - 23 October 2011Rally Route The route contains significant changes from 2010, although its infrastructure remains the same for the seventh year.  Salou’s PortAventura theme park, an hour’s drive from Barcelona, hosts the single service park and the stages span the Tarragona region. 

After Thursday evening’s start ceremony on Salou seafront, each day comprises two passes over identical loops of stages.  On Friday competitors journey west for a marathon day comprising more than 750km over 16 hours.  It includes a new gravel stage and two mixed surface tests, with the final stage in darkness. 

The second day heads back to the same territory.  Each loop opens with the 45.97km El Priorat stage, the second longest of the season, and it includes two new tests.  The final day is closer to Salou on more familiar roads, and the last test comprises the live TV Power Stage with bonus points on offer to the fastest three drivers. 

Competitors tackle 18 stages covering 406.52km in a route of 1589.90km.
