Championship Top Three In Daniel Lloyd's Sights For Scirocco R-Cup Finale‏

Hockenheim in Germany hosts the final round of the Volkswagen Scirocco R-Cupnext Saturday, 22nd October, where Daniel Lloyd will be aiming to end hisfirst season of pan-European competition on a high as he bids to seal a topthree championship finish.Planning to uphold British honour by challenging for victory at the wheel ofhis 2.0-litre bio-CNG VW, the Huddersfield 19-year-old goes into the 10thround of the campaign just three points shy of third place in the driverstandings and within reach of the coveted Vice-Champion's position.Although a race winner from earlier in the season, the teenager hasunfinished business where the top step of the podium is concerned - he wasrobbed of a second 2011 victory during the previous event at Oscherslebenwhen punted out of the lead of round nine on the penultimate lap.Driving superbly in very difficult wet conditions, Daniel once again provedhis class and thoroughly deserved, what would have been, his rightful win.That's in the past though - the talented Briton's sole focus now is onHockenheim and a memorable conclusion to what has been a superb season."It really has been a fantastic season so far, the championship is soprofessional and really well run by the guys at Volkswagen Motorsport", hecommented, "The racing has been absolutely mega all year, especially in thelast race at Oschersleben.
