Regalia makes progress in Formula 3 Euro Series

Facu Regalia debuted yesterday at the wheel of Mücke Motorsport´s Dallara F308-Mercedes, for the season finale of Formula 3 Euro Series at Hockenheim, one of the strongest singleseaters championships in Europe.

Facing official drivers backed by Mercedes or Volkswagen, the Argentinean driver improved his times throughout the day, despite this car is very different from Italian one which Regalia used this year.

Free practice sessions were delayed because “there was a thick fog at Hockenheim. I didn´t have as much time as I would have liked on track, and the fog didn´t help us for sure. Anyway I kept improving my performance”, Regalia explained afterwards. Little by little he improved his times, and he was 12th in qualifying session, and he will start from 6th row on the starting grid in race one and three.

“My new car is quite different from Italian one. Mercedes-built engine is powerful, and aerodynamics plays a major role here. I need to gain confidence in the fastest bends because it´s there where I lose time. My target is to keep improving my learning with Mücke Motorsport and, if it´s possible, to finish in top-eight in race one because it would mean to start on the front in race two”, Regalia told after he set times of 1:33.011 and 1:33.091.
