Live Supercross de Bercy 2011 comes to Motors TV

Live coverage of the 29th annual Supercross de Bercy hits Motors TV screens this weekend (October 29-30) as the High Speed Television Channel continues to strengthen its reputation as the place for two-wheeled motorsport action. As one of the most anticipated dates on the global SX calendar the event boasts an impressive entry list, with former King of Bercy winner Justin Barcia, MX2 front-runner Tommy Searle and American star Kevin Windham just a few of the top-line riders set to take to the jumps at the Parisian arena.Motors TV is thrilled to be delivering extensive coverage of the event, with a catch-up featuring Friday's best bits followed by live action from both the second and third days. In total that adds up to a full nine hours and thirty-five minutes of broadcasting over a single weekend.Commentary duties are handled by Paul Malin, who will be joined by several special guests over the course of the event. A regular World Motocross commentator and multiple British MX champion, Malin was part of the winning team at the 1994 Motocross of Nations.Paul Malin: “I’m really looking forward to Bercy. I first went there as a fan in 1987, which was the year Ricky Johnson famously came out of the giant hand. I raced there in 1991 but had too many problems: bad starts, crashes and everything in between! The atmosphere is always great inside the stadium and I’m sure this year will be no different. I can’t wait!”Frédéric Viger, Motors TV’s Head of Programming and Acquisitions, added: “As the broadcaster of World MX, AMA MX and AMA SX, we had a feeling that something was still missing from our off-road line-up. That’s been put right now. The Bercy Supercross is undoubtedly one of the sport’s biggest events and we are delighted to bring it to our MX fans live on Motors TV.”Saturday 29th - 10.30am: Day 1 HighlightsSaturday 29th - 7.00pm: LIVE Day 2 Sunday 30th - 2.00pm: LIVE Day 3The motocross action doesn’t stop there though, with highlights from this year’s RHL Beach Race at Weston-super-Mare following Saturday’s Bercy coverage (10.45pm). The Beach Race attracts scores of competitors to contest an enduro across the dunes, and provides the perfect complement to our weekend of off-road action.
