(SPEEDWAY 1)BERWICK confirmed a top-ten finish in the Premier League with a hard-fought48-42 win over Newport in the final meeting of the season at ShielfieldPark.The match went into a last-heat decider with the Wasps just two pointsadrift, but Bandits skipper Lee Complin cut back under Leigh Lanham andKevin Doolan to make sure of the win, and was joined at the front byteam-mate Josef Franc for a 5-1.Berwick boss Ian Rae said: "The lads kept the best till last as did ourskipper who made a cut-back line I've never seen performed before atShielfield on bend one."It was a magnificent Complin move.
