(SPEEDWAY 1)COVENTRY have announced the return to Brandon of former skipper ScottNicholls for the 2012 season.Nicholls led the Bees to five major trophies in a three-year stint with theclub from 2005-07, and has remained an asset despite recent loan spells withEastbourne, Ipswich and Swindon.Incoming club owner Mick Horton said: "Scott is still a class act and I knowhow popular he has always been at Coventry. He's definitely on a falseaverage and he's definitely going to improve on that."Scott will be a great addition for us next season, I'm looking forward toseeing him back with Bomber (Harris) and I think it has to be good newsall-round for Coventry."(SPEEDWAY 2)DANIEL Halsey has been named as Mildenhall's first confirmed signing for the2012 National League season.Halsey was a popular member of this year's team at West Row, and was namedthe club's most improved rider at their recent awards night.He said: "I'm delighted to be coming back and as soon as Michael (Lee)offered me the option I didn't hesitate. Everyone knows I struggled with thetrack at the start of the season, but I stuck at it and Chris (Louis),Michael, Kevin (Jolly) and Rob (Henry) helped me a lot, and by the end ofthe season my form was coming back. "The set-up is fantastic and it was great to win my first trophy this year.Now I am aiming to be Number One next season and to start looking at thePremier League again."
