Sutton and Al Harthy win Endurance Challenge in Dubai

James Sutton and Ahmad Al Harthy were victorious in Dubai on Saturday (5 November) when they won the Endurance Challenge race for competitors in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East. Later, Al Harthy finished third overall in the second round of the championship.With a winning margin of 17 seconds over rivals including German racer Christian Menzel and former Carrera Cup GB champion Damien Faulkner, Sutton and Al Harthy dominated the hour-long race at the Dubai Autodrome.Sutton and Al Harthy were racing for the Oman Air Racing squad, operated by Redline Racing, and the team will now head for Abu Dhabi this weekend (12/13 November) where Al Harthy will race in the GT3 Cup Challenge double-header on the Grand Prix support programme,Al Harthy will head Redline’s three-car team for the Abu Dhabi races. With two sprint races on the Yas Marina Circuit, 2011 Carrera Cup GB champion Sutton will stay on in the Middle East as a driver coach for the team.“I’m delighted with James and Ahmad for winning the endurance race,” said Redline team boss Simon Leonard. “Now, we will focus on getting Ahmad back on the podium in the Grand Prix support races at Abu Dhabi.”
