A brief interview with ... Edoardo MortaraYou won for the third time in succession in Macau. Are you proud? "I’m absolutely delighted about my first win in the Macau GT Cup. It was great to win my first GT race on the street circuit after the two Formula 3 victories. The Audi R8 LMS is fantastic."Fastest in practice, in both qualifying sessions, race win and fastest lap. How difficult was this win? "Indeed I had the best position with pole on the front row and was also confident, but this is by no means a guarantee for a successful race. Everybody knows just how difficult this street circuit is, and there were 31 cars on the grid. There was actually an accident due to oil on the track after two laps. Six opponents retired due to this. The race was interrupted to repair the barriers. I had to concentrate hard over the remaining laps. It’s great that things went so well." You finish your first motorsport season with Audi with two wins within just one week ..."It’s great to have won in the Audi R8 LMS to start with in Zhuhai and then to be right at the front again in Macau. The competition in Macau was obviously much stronger and the street circuit is unforgiving. I’m just happy to have been able to have such a great motorsport season with Audi in the DTM and also to have won two GT races in China to finish on a high."
