Italian road and racecar collection comes onto the market

Classic Italian Connection who traditionally have been known for their classic road and race car transport business have now branched out into the world of dealing in classic cars.

This has come about due to John Chatley's association with a collector in Italy who is rationalising his collection - many of these cars have not been seen for 30 years and among the rarer vehicles there are, Stangullini Formula Junior-single seater that finished second at Monaco in 1959, a 1950 Bandini F3 car (one of only two produced), a Ferrari 330Gt 2+2 series 1 showing less than 7,000 Kilometers, an Aston Martin DBS Vantage, Iso Lele, Bentley MkVI special, Maserati 3500GT by Touring lightly competition prepared, the list could go on!

Perhaps the most exciting discovery was a small two seat Barchetta style Bandini manufactured in 1954 by the very talented Ilario Bandini in Forli Italy. With its jewel-like double overhead camshaft 750cc engine, twin weber Carburettors, and De Dion rear suspension it really was constructed for a purpose. Now eligible for many Historic events, including the famous Mille Miglia - what a project for 2012!

Anyway a mention of these new cars to the market will feature in next month's Classic and Sportscar - many of the cars will simply need a gentle re-commissioning - these are not basket cases - many of the cars were simply driven into the dry storage area 30 years ago and have lain dormant under dust covers...

Lottery ticket time - the Bandini 2 seater or comp prepared Maserati 3500 GT would do nicely...For details on some of the cars that are coming onto the market - click on the link below:
