Business races ahead at Castle Combe

Despite the ever present economic worries and tales of woe from many business sectors, the Castle Combe Circuit is defying the trend.

Its entire 2012 race meeting track space has been sold out for some time and bookings are being taken for the 2013 season. With two new sponsorship deals signed for its home based championships and the continuation of a third for the 19th year in succession, the circuit is looking forward to a very healthy 2012.

National Mobile Windscreens, which first became associated with the circuit in 1993 has again signed to back the 'Saloon Car' championship.

Martyn Bennett, Sales and Marketing Director at National Mobile Windscreens said, "The saloon car championship is a perfect fit for us as people relate their own road cars to those they see on the circuit. When people enjoy such a brilliant championship it's great for them to be linking our name to it."

A few tweaks to the regulations are likely to bring even more cars, such as the unlimited capacity 'GT's like the Jades, back to the Vadabar Sports and GT championship. One of the most interesting new machines will be the unique BMW V10 M6 Coupe of Vadabar M.D., Doug Watson, who saw an opportunity to increase his involvement in the championship from that of competitor to sponsor. He said "Having raced my BMW Z3 Coupe in the championship last year and with Vadabar owning a number of specialist engineering companies, it made sense to use the championship to promote the talents of those companies. Bath Performance Cars, one of the companies in the Vadabar group, will again be preparing the car, which we believe is the only one of its kind in the UK and possibly in Europe."

A new name and backer for the circuit's long standing and acclaimed Formula Ford 1600 championship is Swindon based Morus Total Business Solutions. Managing Director, John Avery, himself an occasional racer at the circuit, said," We are delighted to be sponsoring the Castle Combe Formula Ford Championship which we know is one of the most closely contested and exciting championships in the country. Castle Combe is a superb circuit and thoroughly deserves its reputation for attracting some of the best drivers and large crowds of knowledgeable spectators, which are the envy of other circuits. At every race meeting we will be giving spectators the opportunity to win a driving experience where they can, after expert tuition and familiarization laps, find out for themselves what it feels like to lap Castle Combe in a Formula Ford or also in a fully race prepared "Special GT" car capable of speeds of more than double the UK national speed limit, which we hope will add to the excitement of each and every race day".

Morus provide a range of marketing, sales and financial services for small and medium sized businesses and are so confident they can improve a company's profits and/or sales they give a "no improvement no fee"guarantee to all their customers. They work with businesses throughout the UK, with particular emphasis on those based in Wiltshire and along the M4 corridor, and are looking forward to a long and prosperous relationship with everyone who enjoys the racing at Castle Combe.

Information on this and all Castle Combe events is available from a variety of online sources including the circuit's website, www.castlecombecircuit.co.uk, built by racecar
