BELLE Vue have signed experienced Australian Travis McGowan to take the final full-time place in their line-up.McGowan is joined by Danish duo Ulrich Ostergaard and Claus Vissing, who have been added to the squad as doubling-up riders – Ostergaard for a third spell with the club.Aces boss Jim Lynch said: “I had room left for a four-point man to complete the side and stay under the 41-point limit. I made an extensive search of all the available riders and decided McGowan was the man. He is a snip signing on a four-point average because he can increase that by a full point.“I needed a Premier League rider with a good average to partner (Charlie) Gjedde, who has a six-point figure. Ostergaard filled the bill with a five-point average. Also I believe Vissing’s four-point average is false and he is worth a higher figure. Both of them have good Elite League experience.”

PETERBOROUGH legend Ryan Sullivan is to return to the Showground for the club’s opening fixture of the season on March 19.Sullivan, who won two Elite League titles with the Panthers, will be joined by World Champion Greg Hancock in the opposition line-up for a meeting which will feature all of the club’s current squad.Peterborough co-owner Julie Mahoney said: “Ryan was with the Panthers when Rick and I took over in 2008 and was quick to agree to return for our 2012 season opener when we contacted him a couple of weeks ago. He’s very excited about being back and meeting up again with all the supporters.“It’ll also be great to have Greg on track and welcome him as the new World Champion. It’s been a few years since he last rode at the Showground, but he’s always been a popular rider whenever he’s visited in the past and will help provide a good healthy early workout for our 2012 Panthers.”
