Motors TV Weekly Highlights 4 to 10 February

WRC - Rally Sweden It's rare for us to make anyone but Sebastien Loeb favourite to win a rally, but the WRC's trip to Sweden is a fair exception. Historically Nordic drivers have dominated the event, with only one competitor from outside the region - Loeb, of course - ever taking victory on its snow-covered roads. With three past winners in team-mate Mikko Hirvonen and Ford pairing Jari-Matti Latvala and Petter Solberg all aboard competitive machinery the eight-time champ will have his work cut out.            - Friday, 10 February 10.35pm Autosport Charity Karting  A host of big names went back to their roots for a charity kart race during January's Autosport Show. Le Mans winner David Brabham, rising star Alex Sims and Ben 'The Stig' Collins were just a few of those who competed to raise funds for three very worthwhile causes: The Royal British Legion, Help for Heroes and Combat Stress.-  Saturday, 4 February 6.25pm  D1 Grand Prix & Formula Drift More sideways action from the world’s premier drift competitions. Japanese series D1 Grand Prix hits the Okayama venue, while America's Formula Drift travels to New Jersey.

-  Monday, 6 February 6.55pm (D1 Grand Prix) & 8.00pm (Formula Drift)  AMA Supercross  AMA Supercross lands at California's Oakland Coliseum for round four of the 2012 campaign. Ryan Dungey currently heads Chad Reed and reigning champ Ryan Villopoto in the chase for the title.

- Tuesday, 7 February 6.55pm  RC Racing A Motors TV viewer recently revealed that they had tuned in to an episode of RC Racing for a bit of a laugh but found themselves compelled to keep watching the tiny machines buzz about. They're now hooked - for life. Find out what the fuss is  all about here.

- Monday, 6 February 10.05pm Finnish F-Cup Rally The Finns are notoriously good at rallying. With the possible exception of Kimi Raikkonen, who has now come to terms with the fact that his place is on the circuit and not public roads, they seem able to do no wrong in the discipline, as adept as anyone on gravel and tarmac but vastly superior in the snow. That ability comes from spending their formative years in series like the F-Cup, Finland's national championship and a key proving ground for the Makkinens, Gronholms and Kankkunens of tomorrow.
