Three-day Auto GP test for six drivers in Valencia

Auto GP teams keep working to prepare the coming season in the best possible way. With the first event of the Championship scheduled as early as 10 March three teams decided to fly to Valencia for a three-day test that will kick-off tomorrow morning: Campos Racing, MLR71 and Ombra Racing decided to make the most of the warm Spanish weather to put some mileage under their belts, a test that will surely prove very important as the Ricardo Tormo circuit will host the second event of the season.

On their home track, Campos Racing will field the young Argentinean Facundo Regalia, already confirmed by the team, and Giuseppe Cipriani, that drove for Durango in 2011.

MLR71 will hit the track with a proven line-up, the same one they had in all the testing sessions so far: Italian F3 Champion Sergio Campana will drive one of the cars, flanked by team owner Michele La Rosa in the other one.At the wheel of the Ombra Racing car will be Venezuelan Giancarlo Serenelli, at his first test after being announced by the team as their first confirmed driver for the 2012 campaign, and young talent Vittorio Ghirelli, a 17 year-old Italian that already has two full GP3 seasons under his belt.

The testing programme of all the teams will include a set-up work that will be vital for the 1st April event, and in the meantime the rookies will have some time to get acquainted with the performances of the Zytek-powered Lola.
