Pirelli will offer Prize Fund to 2012 GP3 Series Champion

Series sole tyre supplier will reward GP3 Champion if he graduates to GP2 Series in 2013GP3 Series and Pirelli are happy to announce that in 2012, the driver who will be crowned Champion will receive a 200,000 Euros Prize Fund from the Series' sole tyre supplier Pirelli. In order to qualify for this prize, the Champion will have to be graduating to the GP2 Series the following season (2013).In addition to this Prize Fund, the new champion will take part to a development test session on the GP2 Series car during the 2012-2013 winter seasonGP3 SeriesTM CEO Bruno Michel commented: "I would like to thank Pirelli for their generous offer of a 200,000 Euros Prize Fund to the 2012 GP3 Series Champion. The Series winner will qualify for this fund only if he steps up to GP2 in 2013. This is fantastic news for all of our young drivers, who will get a great motivation boost out of Pirelli's Prize Fund, as they pursue their goal to be successful and make it in Formula One.
