Mercedes GP boosted ahead of new Formula One season

The Mercedes GP Formula One team has renewed a sponsorship deal with MIG Bank for the 2012 season. The Swiss online foreign exhange trader's branding will again feature on the team's cars and on the race suits of drivers Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg.

MIG first entered Formula One in 2009 with the world championship-winning Brawn GP team. It then stayed with the team when it was acquired by Mercedes in time for the start of the 2010 season.

"We are extremely pleased today to renew our 2009 partnership with Mercedes-Benz," said Hisham Mansour, chief executive of MIG Bank. "Driven by our common passion for performance and technology, this partnership reflects our forward looking spirit and illustrates our solidity, continuous growth and dynamism."

Mercedes team principal Ross Brawn, hoping to guide the team to a higher finish than last year's fourth place in the world championship, added: "After three successful years working together, MIG Bank have been able to utilise the global platform provided by the team and Formula One to raise their profile and strengthen their brand. We look forward to continuing our excellent working relationship together over the coming seasons."
