Honda strengthens support of motocross

Honda (UK) is strengthening its support of young motocross riders in the UK as part of its commitment to developing the sport at grass roots level and nurturing up and coming talent in the world of off-road racing.

As part of this commitment, all riders on a CRF150RB are now automatically entitled to a range of exclusive benefits and have the opportunity to develop their riding skills and technical knowledge, with guidance and support offered by both the official Buildbase Honda motocross team and the Honda Racing Xtreme Academy.

The Buildbase Honda team – run by three-time world motocross champion Dave Thorpe – is offering young Honda riders a range of support as they develop their early career on four-stroke machinery. Operating at all sevenrace meetings within the Red Bull Pro National Championship series, chief engineers and mechanical staff from the team will be on hand to provide technical support and aid with track analysis, as well as with race preparation of CRF150RB machines, for those competing in the supporting youth class.

In parallel with this, riders who contest the Xtreme Academy Championship - as part of the British Youth Nationals (BYN) race series - can benefit from a host of supporting activities. Benefits include an impressive prize pool, recognition as a Honda rider, peer mentoring and the chance to train with ex-world championship rider and Xtreme Academy Head Trainer, Brian Jorgensen, as well as current Grand Prix Honda riders such as Evgeny Bobryshev, Rui Goncalves and Ken De Dycker.

Also available to CRF150RB owners is the offer of a complimentary set of new race tyres with a main service, at an official Honda dealer between now and the end of April 2012*. On top of this, owners also have the option to have their big-wheel CRF150 converted to a small-wheel via Honda dealers, whilst retaining the original genuine Honda hubs. The original spokes and rims can also be retained by the owner so that as the youngster grows, the bike can be returned to the original big-wheel specification.

Honda (UK) is committed to getting youngsters on to two-wheels and the four-stroke 150cc machine is the ideal bike on which to develop riding skills and hone young racing talent, as well as for those looking to take the step up to bigger capacity four-stroke machines in MX2 and MX1. With Honda (UK)’s support of motocross via its great offers, range of additional benefits for CRF owners and its racing activities, with the Buildbase Honda Team and the Honda Racing Xtreme Academy, there’s never been a better time to own a Honda CRF150RB.

The CRF150RB is priced at £3,800.
