The Motor Sports Association (MSA) will announce the Formula Cadet engine by the end of March 2012.

Since May 2011 the MSA has been engaged in a tender process for the new engine, which will be introduced on 1 January 2013.

The MSA originally intended to announce the successful tenderer by 1 March 2012. However, further technical evaluation of the engines currently shortlisted is required and so the announcement has been delayed until 30 March 2012 at the latest.
