EASTBOURNE co-promoter Mike Bellerby has stressed his club were ready and willing to take part in the new European Cup, which has now been postponed until 2013.The Eagles and Poole now miss out on facing Swedish and Danish opposition, and for the Arlington club it is a double blow as they had already ruled themselves out of the domestic KO Cup competition.Bellerby said: “We are very disappointed that this innovative competition has been postponed for this year and I want to make it crystal clear that the decision not to proceed lies outside the control of Eastbourne Speedway.“We can only say how sorry we are with this outcome and obviously had we known that this was going to happen we would not have relinquished the opportunity to compete in the Knockout Cup.”
