Trident Racing experience positive test at Barcelona‏

The GP2 Series teams and drivers completed their first collective test of 2012 at Barcelona. The last three days enabled the technicans of Trident Racing to collect a really positive feedback that raised the team's hopes for the upcoming championship.

Trident Racing lined-up with Julian Leal and Stéphane Richelmi, and completed all the scheduled work in a troublefree manner. The feedback gathered by the team proved really valuable both from cars in racing and qualifying configurations. In the six session held at Circuit de Catalunya, both Richelmi and Leal has been constantly sitting in the top-10, showing good pace in all track and tire conditions.

The qualifying simulation completed during yesterday's PM session, when the conditions were similar to the ones the drivers will face during the championship, Leal and Richelmi respectively clocked the first and third top laptime. During day 3, the team worked over longer runs, with race simulations oriented towards evaluating the cars' overall performance and tire wear.

Both Julian and Stéphane were pretty satisfied of the results achieved and the work done. For Trident Racing and all the GP2 Series teams is now time to prepare their cars for the trip to Sepang, Malaysia, where the series will be opening on March 23 to 25.
