Regalia, driving a new Campos Racing´s Dallara F312,  made important progress over the course of  European F3 Open Winter Tests. After a troublesome start on Thursday with mechanical issues, Regalia finished in fifth.

With a best time of 1:42.285, being second in fourth free practice session on Friday, Regalia finished this tests in fifth overall. “In the morning we had some minor problems with the car, mainly electrical, and it meant to miss almost a full session. But, in the afternoon, I improved a lot, and my pace was quite good. On old tyres I was first almost all season and, last but not at least, with good lap times during long runs. We improved our times with new tyres, and we experienced a lot of tyre degradation”, Regalia explained.

Later this month Regalia returns at the wheel of the Dallara F312 in a new test where “Everything will be ready. Here in Barcelona my car was finished a few hours the test. But, if we keep working in this way, our progress will be almost sure. Our lap times were quite similar to other drivers and teams who tested the new F312 at Paul Ricard”.

First meeting of the new European F3 Open is scheduled in April, at Autódromo do Algarve in Portimao (Portugal).
