Elisabete Jacinto, teamed with Sofia Carvalhosa and driving a VW Amarok entered by Volkswagen Véhicules Utilitaires, was the winner at the 2nd round of Rallye Aicha des Gazelles which started and finished in Nejjakh (Morocco). The Portuguese pair got a penalty of 32.86 points, 1.85 less than the Carole Montillet/Julie Verdaguer team, who drive a Buggy Jugand.

In the general classification, after the first two rounds, the French team, which won the 2011 edition, is the leader of the competition with an advantage of 2.69 points over the Portuguese team. Therefore, this is an excellent way to begin the rally for the only national team present in the most important cross-country navigation competition exclusively for feminine teams.
