Matt Edwards took the championship lead with a fine win on the Bulldog National Rally.

Edwards opened up a four-second lead by the service interval and declared himself to be “enjoying the event immensely.” He was then fastest on two of the remaining stages to finish with a 27-second winning margin.

Tom Naughton made second place his own after three stages, taking Group N honours in the process.
