Le Mans 24 hour Karters take on challenge for BEN

Over the weekend of 30 June – 1 July 2012 a team of 5 people from the automotive industry will be taking part in the Le Mans 24 hour Kart race with the aim of raising £10,000 for BEN the automotive industry charity.

This annual event tests the endurance and skills of over 40 Kart teams each year at the famous circuit in France.  The team of five who aim to raise this amazing amount for BEN are Duncan Metcalfe who has worked in the automotive industry for 28 years, Mike Smith, Managing Director of Fleet Assist, Alan Green who has worked in the industry since 1988, Gary Hudson an IT Consultant in the automotive finance sector who also has his own Karting club and Tim Hudson a historic Kart racing enthusiast.

Nigel Williams, BEN’s Commercial Development Manager added, “BEN are very pleased to have the support of The Intrepid Karters who are looking to raise a significant sum which will help to make a difference to some of the many thousands of people who turn to us for help.”
