Everything's set for the much-anticipated grand opening of the 2012 INTERNATIONAL SUPERSTARS SERIES scheduled for this weekend at Monza. A lot of new and returning high-level entries are expected on-track (including world motorsports aces like Vitantonio Liuzzi, Mika Salo, Christian Fittipaldi, Gianni Morbidelli and Thomas Biagi) and the teams are almost ready to line-up their spectacular 500-horsepower saloon racecar.Verona-based squad Ferlito Motors will be fielding two Jaguar XF-R racecars, as Vincenzo Ferlito, a well-known name in the FG GROUP-promoted championship, will rely on the services of experienced Max Pigoli and Gian Maria Gabbiani. Pigoli, a SUPERSTARS veteran who brought the Jaguar banner to their maiden title back in 2006, will be joined by car and powerboat racer Gabbiani, who had made his debut for the team in last December's Motor Show exhibition event in Bologna.

Fans will be able to follow the two races, starting on Sunday at 11:15 and 16:15 thanks to the wide live and tape-delayed TV coverage of SUPERSTARS, while thousands of supporters are expected on-track thanks to the FREETICKET campaign.Gian Maria Gabbiani:

"This one has been a season of great surprises so far for me. First it came the Class 1 Powerboat debut at Doha, then this sensational new chance in Superstars. The car has great potential especially on the really fast tracks like Monza, and I'm looking forward to use the new Hankook tires, which have proved great in testing. The car is the same I used at MotorShow, but this time in a much more suitable environment: I can't wait to race the Motorola Jaguar!"
