The SUPERSTARS SERIES will be back racing this weekend at the historical Monza racetrack, and both the two top championships promoted by FG GROUP will be kicking-off featuring a sensational line-up in terms of star drivers and car manufacturers.The INTERNATIONAL SUPERSTARS SERIES is about to enter its 9th edition. Teams and drivers will be running on nine of the World's best racetracks and visiting five different Countries between Europe and Asia, where the highly-renowned Sentul circuit in Indonesia will host the 2012 finale. The Championship, open to the most spectacular 500-horsepower V8 saloon racecars, has become an absolute benchmark in closed-wheel competition as it keeps matching its claim: “The State of the Art in World Car Racing”.The extremely fast circuit close to Milan will provide a prime stage for talents like Vitantonio Liuzzi, lining-up for the Mercedes-powered CAAL Racing, Finn Mika Salo, making his debut aboard a Swiss Team-prepared Maserati Quattroporte alongside Mauro Cesari, and four-time SUPERSTARS Champion Gianni Morbidelli, fielded by Audi Sport Italia and ready to challenge for wins aboard his Audi RS5.2010 SUPERSTARS Champion Thomas Biagi will be back in the mix with his BMW M3, fielded by Dinamic and under direct management by ROAL Motorsport. The experienced Max Pigoli will be back aboard a Jaguar at Ferlito Motors, partnered by Gian Maria Gabbiani while more talent will come from Mercedes racers Max Mugelli an Andrea Larini (brother of former F.1 racer Nicola), in addition to Simone Monforte, set to join Nocentini and their Lexus IS F. Two international-level star will also line-up for Audi, as Swedish racer Johan Kristoffersson and German Thomas Schoeffler will run under the Audi banner for the KMS and MTM teams.The new entries include 17-year-old Andrea Boffo, who will partner Nico Caldarola for Roma Racing Team, Solaris Motorsport (fielding a Chevrolet Lumina for Francesco Sini), W&D (lining-up two BMWs for the father-son duo of Walter and Paolo Meloni) and Riccardo Bossi alongside the Perlini-Fumagalli combo at Team Giudici.The INTERNATIONAL GTSPRINT SERIES is set for another round of the endless GTS2 duel between Porsche and Ferrari. The Maranello-based manufacturer will be represented by the Ferrari 458 Italia of Andrea Palma and Black Team, while Glauco Solieri will on an Autorlando-prepared Porsche 997. In GTS3, Roberto Del Castello will be back aboard the RC Motorsport Corvette Z06, while the GTS Cup category will be extremely lively and populated. The BMW of Italian Endurance Touring Car Champion Piero Necchi and the Lotus Evora of Gianni Giudici will be the main stars of GTS Open.The successful recipe of GTSPRINT is expected to receive some tweaks for the season. The two races will be longer (30 minutes compared to last year's 25 minutes + 1 lap) and with a sensational grid, is ready to give a spectacular start to its third season.
