Classic and collector cars dealership RK Motors Charlotte will serve as the primary sponsor of Michael Waltrip Racing's number 55 car, driven by Brian Vickers, during the Nascar Sprint Cup race at Martinsville Speedway on 1st April.

Though financial terms of the one-race agreement were not released, based on deals of a similar nature RK Motors' commitment to Michael Waltrip Racing is estimated to be worth US$400,000.“This is the first time in history RK Motors Charlotte will be the primary sponsor of a Nascar competitor,” said RK Motors Charlotte president and chief executive Joseph Carroll. “Nascar is enjoyed by millions of passionate fans who love cars as much as we do. We want to connect with those fellow enthusiasts and share the Nascar excitement with them this weekend through our sponsorship of Michael Waltrip Racing’s number 55 Toyota.”
