(SPEEDWAY 1)BELLE Vue have made three signings in time for their Elite League home-opener against Wolverhampton on Good Friday.Fomer Ace Adam Skornicki replaces the injured Patrick Hougaard, and fellow Pole Marcel Kajzer joins as Travis McGowan awaits his work permit. Their arrivals mean Hugh Skidmore replaces Claus Vissing in a doubling-up position due to averages.Manager Jim Lynch said: "We moved for Skornicki because he's extremely experienced on British tracks and is very keen to help out in the short term. He also recommended Marcel and we could fit a rider of his average into the team so we decided to give him a chance. "We have made these changes until the end of the month by which time we hope to have Hougaard and McGowan with us."(SPEEDWAY 2)BERWICK have completed their early season team re-vamp by signing Jason King to replace Czech Republic rider Filip Sitera. The Bandits had to make an additional change because their recent signing of Lubos Tomicek would have taken them over the points limit.Boss Ian Rae said: "We could have just gone for running with a novice three-pointer for the rest of the season, but we've done that in the past and know that's not how you win trophies, so we had to do our sums and make one final change."Jay was lost to main-stream speedway when a knee injury that he got at Glasgow in 2010 failed to heal anything like as well as he'd hoped for. But he's back to full fitness and he's raring to get back into the Premier League and we're delighted to throw him this line with the Bandits and get our average back within the legal limits."(SPEEDWAY 3)REDCAR will be back to full strength this week with the return from injury of Matej Kus - and the Bears have also announced the signing of Mark Jones. The Australian was left without a track when Newport closed on the eve of the season, but he has now been snapped up by the Teesside club to replace Robert Branford at reserve.Manager Jitendra Duffill said: "We have missed Matej's points contribution and I wonder how different the scores would have been for our home draw against Scunthorpe last Thursday and our defeat at Workington last Saturday if our bouncing Czech had been available. "We have also had to take a decision on Robert as he was off the pace in Premier League racing this season."(SPEEDWAY 4)EASTBOURNE boss Trevor Geer says the club have ruled out the possibility of signing a short-term replacement for the injured Joonas Kylmakorpi. The Finn is out for a month after his crash at King's Lynn last week and the Eagles will cover his absence with guests or rider-replacement - with the latter being their course of action for the Good Friday double against Lakeside.Geer said: "We did look at the possibility of bringing someone else in until Joonas is fit again. It would not be a really top rider and they would have to get used to the track and by the time they do, Joonas would be back."Every Elite League club is in action on Good Friday so it is just not possible for us to get a guest. We will use the rider replacement rule to cover for Joonas's absence. The team will rise to the challenge, I'm sure. Every one of them is eligible to take a ride."(SPEEDWAY 5)POOLE and Coventry are preparing for a frantic day of Good Friday action as they face each other home and away in their opening Elite League fixtures. The two clubs, who have won the last two league titles between them, meet at Brandon at 11am before making the trip south for the return at Wimborne Road at 8pm.Poole boss Neil Middleditch said: "Without question this is going to be a busy day for all the boys. It will mean an early start travelling up to the Midlands. Fortunately most of the team have mechanics who will take over a lot of the driving. "We know this is going to be a tough encounter and all the Poole riders just have to continue doing what they have done in the first two home meetings of the season."(FIXTURES)THURSDAY APRIL 5:SKY SPORTS ELITE LEAGUE: Swindon v Birmingham 7.30LEAGUE CUP: Sheffield v Redcar 7.45FRIDAY APRIL 6:SKY SPORTS ELITE LEAGUE: Belle Vue v Wolverhampton 1pm, Birmingham v Swindon 7.30, Coventry v Poole 11am, Eastbourne v Lakeside 7.30, King's Lynn v Peterborough 7pm, Lakeside v Eastbourne 1pm, Peterborough v King's Lynn 2pm, Poole v Coventry 8pmLEAGUE CUP: Edinburgh v Newcastle 7.30, Ipswich v Leicester 2.30, Redcar v Sheffield 7.30, Somerset v Rye House 7.30NATIONAL LEAGUE KO CUP 1st leg: Rye House v Isle of Wight 7pmSATURDAY APRIL 7:LEAGUE CUP: Berwick v Glasgow 7pm, Leicester v Rye House 7.30, Workington v Edinburgh 7pmBRITISH U21 SEMI-FINAL: Stoke 7.30SUNDAY APRIL 8:LEAGUE CUP: Glasgow v Berwick 4pm, Newcastle v Scunthorpe 6.30NATIONAL SHIELD 1st leg: Mildenhall v Dudley 4.30
