Join In The Jubilee Celebrations In True 50’s Style At Beaulieu!

In celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu is staging a fantastic 50’s themed family event from 2nd – 5th June. Whether you’re looking for a unique way to celebrate the Jubilee, or are a family looking for something fun to do over the June Bank Holiday Weekend, this event is sure to be a great day out.

Of course, a Beaulieu event wouldn’t be complete without a motoring element, and the Jubilee Celebrations are no exception. There will be a drive-in of 50’s vehicles taking place over the whole four days of the event, including cars, motorbikes, commercial and agricultural vehicles. Visitors will be able to see these vehicles displayed in the picturesque Beaulieu parkland and watch them driving in a cavalcade around the attraction. All owners of 50’s vehicles are invited to join the drive-in free of charge on any one of the four days, but must apply for a place in advance.

Indulge in a little 50’s nostalgia and enjoy free old time funfair rides such as a carousel, dodgems and swing boats, plus pay and play at a number of side stalls to see if you can win a prize. Live music will also add to the atmosphere, with jazz duo Riverboat Days playing throughout the four days, and the whole attraction will be decked out in Great British themed decorations, including bunting and flags.

The event can be enjoyed as part of a visit to the whole Beaulieu attraction, which includes the National Motor Museum, World of Top Gear with actual vehicles from the BBC show, On Screen Cars featuring TV and film vehicles, Beaulieu Abbey, and Palace House and gardens.

Don’t miss the museum’s exciting new exhibition, BOND IN MOTION, running for one year only, which celebrates another very British anniversary - the 50th year of James Bond films. The exhibition displays 50 original vehicles from the James Bond films and visitors can also watch exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and clips of the most memorable vehicle stunts from the franchise.

Those who wish to take part in the 50’s drive-in on any one of the four days must apply in advance by contacting the Events Department on 01590 614614 with the driver and passenger receiving free entry into the event and the Beaulieu attraction. Drive-in participants can purchase extra tickets for accompanying guests at a reduced price of £10 per adult and £5 per child.

All other visitors should gain admission to the event and attraction via Visitor Reception at normal Beaulieu admission prices. Advance tickets can be bought online at www.beaulieushop.co.uk

The event is open from 10am every day, with plenty of free parking available onsite.
