Hungary next stop for Regalia in Auto GP series

The Campos Racing´s driver, who made his debut last weekend in the European F3 Open, is back to the Auto GP for the fourth meeting of 2012 season.

All is set for Argentina´s driver who will try to repeat a podium finish.

Facu Regalia continues his frantic 2012 season. The Argentine driver, who debuted last weekend in the European F3 Open – finishing both races 4th and 6th at Autódromo do Algarve-, is back to drive his Campos Racing´s Lola B05/52 Zytek at Hungaroring. He clinched a podium finish in Valencia during Sunday´s race -2nd at the end- but both races in Morocco weren´t so successful due to some problems.

“I´m looking forward to return to the Auto GP, whose fourth meeting of 2012 is in Hungary. My aim is to forget our bad weekend in Morocco with good results. Marrakech was awful for us, and either Campos Racing or I weren´t expecting that sort of results” Regalia says. Concerning Hungaroring, a well-known track for Regalia, he explains that “it´s one of my favourites since my debut some years ago in the Formula BMW Europe. I am usually fast there and hope a similar performance this time with Auto GP car. We need to focus on qualifying session, because it´s very difficult to overtake other cars here, so a good place on the starting grid is mandatory”.

Regalia is aiming for “as good results as possible but another podium finish, like happened in Valencia, would be amazing for Campos Racing and myself. I know it will be difficult, because Auto GP´s field is very competitive this season. Anyway we had a good meeting last weekend in Portugal during first meeting of Formula 3, and will try to repeat it in the Auto GP”.

On Friday there are scheduled two free practice sessions just before qualifying session. Both races are scheduled on Saturday and Sunday at 10.15 and 12.35 respectively.
