Swedish racer Thomas H Jonasson makes his fourth FIM Speedway Grand Prix (SGP) wild card appearance in three years at the FIM Swedish SGP in Gothenburg’s Ullevi Stadium on May 26.
The Vetlanda and Gdansk star, who dons the No.16 race jacket for the night, appeared at the venue last year on May 14, scoring eight points.
He then stormed into the semi-finals of the FIM Scandinavian SGP in Malilla on August 13 and left with an impressive nine points.
Jonasson is being hotly-tipped as a Grand Prix rider of the future and will hope to strengthen this reputation with a big performance at Ullevi.
He is joined in the meeting by track reserves Linus Sundstrom and Simon Gustafsson.
Sundstrom lines up at No.17, while Gustafsson rides at No.18. The duo will only take to the track in the event of any of the main 16 riders being disqualified for a starting offence or being unable to take a ride through injury, illness or other reasons.
The referee for the Swedish SGP is Craig Ackroyd from Great Britain.
