The AA is offering complimentary breakdown assistance for all those attending this summer’s Silverstone Classic powered by the AA (20-22 July). The AA’s dedicated festival service will be available at no cost to all those travelling to and from the world’s biggest classic motor racing festival whether or not already a member of the UK’s leading breakdown service.
Complimentary assistance will cover all areas within Silverstone car parks and surrounding roads within a two miles radius of the circuit and runs from 8am Friday 20 July to 8pm Sunday 22 July.
A dedicated phone number – 0800 072 3642 – has been set up for festival goers to call should they need help from the AA. The number is also available to those breaking down outside the two-mile radius – they will be offered the chance to join the AA on the spot and receive immediate roadside rescue.
“This is real bonus for all those driving to Silverstone and is also another great example of the AA’s increasing involvement in the event,” enthused Nick Wigley, Event Director of the Silverstone Classic. “It’s particularly welcome for the thousands and thousands of classic car enthusiasts for whom this is an unmissable weekend. Over the weekend more than 120 motor clubs will be displaying in excess of 7000 classic cars and for them this special AA offer of free assistance will provide considerable peace of mind.”
The AA’s significant presence at the Silverstone Classic will be highlighted by the exciting new AA World family attraction – an action-packed automotive theme park offering a wide range of activities and exhibits plus a chance for those of all ages to get behind the wheel for free.
Adult tickets for 2012’s Silverstone Classic powered by the AA (20-22 July) cost from as little as £35 (plus booking fees) and special two- and three-day weekend tickets are also available with savings of more than 20 per cent if purchased in advance. Full details are available via the event’s official silverstoneclassic.com website.
