Campos Racing´s Argentine driver has his sights set on another podium after his 3rd place at Hungaroring as the AutoGP series moves on to Portugal.
Facu Regalia is back to racing, one week later after his maiden podium in the European F3 Open last weekend at Nürburgring.
This time, Regalia is going to drive Campos Racing´s Lola B05/52 Zytek in the Auto GP series, a championship where he has visited the podium twice. Argentina´s young driver, after good results in Valencia and Budapest, is approaching his penultimate meeting in the series during 2012 at Autódromo do Algarve, a track “I know because I debuted there last month in the European F3 Open. I like Autódromo do Algarve a lot. Portimao is a difficult one and for sure very demanding for us as drivers. In the European F3 Open we were pretty competitive, mainly in both qualifying sessions when I was 2nd and 3rd, and our aim is to improve next weekend”.
Regalia added that “we feel confident enough to achieve good results. Both Campos Racing and I worked a lot for next weekend. My new engineer here, a person with loads of experience, will be playing a key role as well, I am sure. In my opinion, we should be aiming for podium, because we claimed two of them so far. Anyway it won´t be easy and we must do our best”. Finally, 20 years-old driver explained that “now I focused again on Auto GP car, after my last weekend in Formula 3. This change in my mentality is never easy, but our Thursday´s official test will help me to speed up my acclimatisation with Lola B05/52 Zytek at Autódromo do Algarve”.
After Thursday's test day, both free practice sessions are planned for today at 9.00 and 11.30, with qualifying starting at 15.30. Both races are scheduled at 13.15 and 14.05 on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
