Round 2: Santa Pod Raceway, 1-4 June
Bruno Bader won the season’s first combined MSA British/FIA European Pro Mod championship round at Santa Pod.
In a rain-plagued, incident-strewn event, the Swiss driver soloed to victory after Swedish competitor Bert-Ove Olofsson sustained engine damage while warming up for the semi-final.
However, British racers wrote the performance headlines. Graham Ellis’s 242mph terminal speed was comfortably the fastest ever by a UK Pro Mod, while Andy Frost’s Vauxhall Victor cemented its position as the world’s fastest-accelerating road-legal car at 6.592sec/220.09mph.
