Glynn Geddie is vowing to go all out for consecutive podium finishes when he returns to Porsche Carrera Cup action this weekend.
The 21-year-old, who runs with Redline Racing, heads to Oulton Park for rounds seven and eight of the competitive championship buoyed by a second place result in his last outing at Thruxton.
Geddie, who suffered a disappointing SuperCup display at Monaco, produced a stirring display in round six as he moved up nine places through the grid to finish just behind Daniel Lloyd from Team Parker Racing to claim vital championship points.
“Let’s hope my performance at Thruxton will prove to be something of a turning point in my season,” he said.
“Up until the last round I had been struggling to find any real groove but I relished the wet conditions and was able to secure a good finish which can only help my confidence.
“Had things been slightly different I might have even won it outright but I can’t complain too much.
“But now it’s vital I follow things up and continue where I left off at Thruxton by producing the goods at Oulton Park.
“For some reason I have struggled a bit in qualifying but if I can secure a decent place on the grid then that will give me an even better chance of doing something in the race.
“After a season in a Ferrari in the British GT last year perhaps I under estimated just how tricky it was going to be jumping back into a Porsche.
“However, I feel much more comfortable in the car again and ready to really push for points.”
