launched specially for the 80th race thanks to the backing of Rolex - lemans-tv.com After successful tests of live broadcasts on the Internet of certain of its 2011 events (24 Hours for Bikes, Karts, rounds of the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup, etc) the Automobile Club de l’Ouest has launched its own Web TV for the 80th Le Mans 24 Hours.
On lemans-tv.com, thanks the backing of Rolex, surfers will find additional TV coverage to that provided by the official broadcasters of the event. Thus, the images from the eleven on-board cameras in eleven cars in the event will be shown on a continuous basis.
In addition, interviews and reports done specially for lemans-tv.com in the race, behind the scenes, with the public, the entertainment and with prestigious guests, will boost what’s on offer : namely, regular summaries of the race, videos and films produced by the different entrants, reports devoted to the history of the Le Mans 24 Hours and endurance racing in general.
The Web viewer will be able to follow the race live and understand what’s going on thanks to live classifications and the live text on which all the latest information will be posted.
French and English-speaking commentators will orient the surfers towards the hot information and the latest reports. Nothing will be lost!
lemans-tv.com’s aim is to show everything going on in the Le Mans 24 Hours offering on a single site all the ACO’s productions and those of its teams taking part in the greatest endurance race in the world.
lemans-tv.com can be viewed on Internet and also on the mobile iPad et Androïd applications via an Internet navigator. It will be on air for 27 hours, with the live broadcast beginning at 14h00 on Saturday 16th June an hour before the start of the race, and finishing at 17h00 on Sunday 17th June after the winners’ press conference. Before the broadcast gets under way, the web-spectators can watch reports, interviews and films devoted to the 80th event and then relive it once it’s finished!
Directed by Gilles Cousin, edited by Christian Pasquet, with the help of AMP Visual, AMP Interactive and VO Production, lemans-tv.com, the official endurance car channel launched thanks to the backing of Rolex, is born.
