TM AND TOURING CAR STAR OF THE 90'S LOOKS FORWARD TO MORE SUCCESS WITH ONE OF THE BEST TALENTS IN BUSINESS
His racing career hit the most successful years during the 90's as he endured great stints in the Italian Supertouring Car competition and in the DTM, before moving to GTs. Today, Gianni Giudici is enjoying his new role as a team manager. The Milan-based racer is not new to the SUPERSTARS environment as he raced both in the V8-based category and GTSPRINT. In SUPERSTARS, he will line-up an highly-talented driver like Norbert Michelisz aboard a fast BMW M3 in the upcoming round at Budapest set for July the 1st.
Is it a demanding position, being a Team Manager?"I'm really devoted to my new role. I've been involved in racing for a lot of years now. I gave a lot but I've also been rewarded with great satisfactions and success. All these things enable me to share my experience with my drivers during the whole race weekend. In SUPERSTARS there are a lot of young sensations like Andrea Boffo, Johan Kristoffersson and Thomas Schöffler: they will be facing a long and tough road but this championship can teach a lot."A lot of time has passed since you were racing in the DTM and in the Supertouring Car championship, and now you have a new adventure. What has changed since then?"I had the honour to line-up in these great championships and score some really good results, but I have to say that things haven't changed to much: the desire to win and stay at the top is the same. SUPERSTARS found a way to bring back the same spirit of the old-style competition in a modern fashion, by bringing the best production-based cars on the best racetracks of Europe, battling side-by-side from start to finish. I'm proud to be part of this family".In the next round of SUPERSTARS, lining-up for the first time in Hungary, Team Giudici will line-up a BMW for local hero Norbert Michelisz. What are your expectations?"Our goal is victory! We worked a lot on the car to bring it to its highest level of performance. In addition to that, be able to count on a great driver like Michelisz is definitely an advantage. We must not make mistakes, especially at Budapest. Scoring a win as a team manager there would be sensational!".
