THE ITALIAN RACER, NOW STANDING IN SECOND BEHIND ANDREA PALMA (FERRARI 458BLACK TEAM) LOOKS FOR MORE SUCCESS

Glauco Solieri is with no doubt one of the most representative names in the GTSPRINT INTERNATIONAL SERIES from its foundation back in 2012. This season, the Bologna-based driver returned behind the wheel of an Autorlando-prepared Porsche 997 and he's currently standing second in both the overall and GTS2 standings. With four podium finishes at four different racetrack, he continued in the positive run started last season and he's determined in cruising back to victory like he did in the 2011 finale at Vallelunga.

Before moving to Autorlando, a longtime Porsche squad, entered GTSPRINT for the first time in 2012, aboard a Ferrari fielded by Racing Team Edil Cris, ending up in 5th overall. After moving to the German manufacturer's camp and joining the other side of the game, he's now ready to be back battling for wins. Solieri, who also raced open-wheelers (he was a runner-up in the 2005 F.3000 Light), is also looking forward to a successful 2013 season.

The GTSPRINT championship is unique, and definitely has a winning race format - told Solieri - having sprint races enable drivers to give their best without having to share their ride. I had the chance to witness the growth of this championship which has reach some incredibly high levels thanks to its spectacular action and its lively paddock. In each race there are a lot of great brands like Corvette, Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini, with challengers eager to pass you on every other corner. In addition to that, the GTSPRINT series is runnning on some spectacular racetracks. I can't wait to be on-track at Spa-Francorchamps, one of my favourite circuits. The car is providing us with some good performance this season, and we have some surprises we're going to show in the next few rounds. For 2012, Andrea Palma seems already in control for title, but we're preparing a new car for 2013 and we will be racing for title....
