Former GT Cup race winner Mike Donovan is set to return to the GT Cup Championship to campaign a Porsche 997 Cup car at Brands Hatch on the 18th & 19th August.

The In2Racing run Porsche 997 will be running in Group 1 and will be joining an exciting line up of GT machinery, for an action packed triple-header on the iconic Grand Prix Circuit.

This will be Donovan’s first GT Cup Championship race of the season, his most recent appearance in the championship was at Brands Hatch in 2010 and resulted in a win.

This season Donovan has been competing in and is currently leading the Group C Championship, racing the historic 1988 Le Mans Winning C2 Spice SE88.

“I am really looking forward to racing in GT Cup again and with such a strong entry it will be a tough race on one of my favourite circuits” commented Mike Donovan.

Brands Hatch marks the sixth round of the GT Cup Championship season, the championship then heads north to Knockhill circuit before returning to Donington Park for the 2012 GT Cup Season Finale on the 6th and 7th October.
