In another new chapter Team Aon, competing in the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC), will next take on the fast and highly demanding Suzuka race circuit in Japan. For drivers Tom Chilton and James Nash Suzuka is another new track for them and the team to learn bringing along with it all the challenges of being new to the competitive WTCC.

Having completed races in Europe, Africa and the Americas so far this year the WTCC now makes its way to Asia for the final three race meetings of the season in Japan, China and Macau where the 2012 Championship will conclude.

Last time out the team were unfortunately unable to make the most of the raft of updates developed for the car, despite being second quickest in first free practice.  However bad luck in qualifying and the two subsequent races meant the team werent able to show their potential. However while the cars are en route to Japan for the tenth round of the season the team look ahead to learning more about the car and seeing the developments in progress.

The Suzuka track is and has always been a track known to be demanding for drivers in every formula; from single seaters to touring cars the circuit has become an all-round challenge for teams to conquer.

Racing in Japan for the first time Tom Chilton said, Like most of the tracks weve visited this year, Suzuka will be another new experience for me. The circuit looks to be very exciting from what Ive seen of it so far so I cant wait to take our car around it!

America was such a shame for us; we could see that the car was quick from my free practice one result being the second quickest car on track however we really werent able to get the most out of our car updates for various reasons throughout the rest of the weekend, so Im looking forward to seeing how the Focus performs in Japan.

Team mate James Nash added, Im excited to get to Japan because that will be my first ever trip to that part of the world. The track looks great from what Ive seen of it and I think that the cooler ambient temperatures should work well for our cars.

Im looking forward to giving it my all, getting into Q2 and scoring some more points.
