MSA British Rally Championship Round 1, Pirelli Rally

Jukka Korhonen triumphed on the Pirelli Rally and in doing so became the first Finn to win a BRC round since Jari-Matti Latvala a decade ago.

Korhonen and co-driver Marko Salminen led from start to finish in their Citron DS3 R3T, building a lead of around a minute before easing off on Sunday after Alastair Fisher and Gordon Nobles early challenge was curtailed by a puncture.

Top seeds Tom Cave and Ieuan Thomas dropped to fifth after the first loop of stages on Saturday but climbed back to third when John MacCrone/Phil Pugh and Osian Pryce/Dale Furniss succumbed to punctures.
