Jake Hill to make Carrera Cup GB debut

Kent-based youngster Jake Hill will make his debut in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB at his home circuit of Brands Hatch this weekend (29/30 March) when he competes with In2 Racing.Hill (Goudhurst, Kent) will join the grid as the latest Type-991 911 GT3 Cup makes its debut in the Carrera Cup GB and the 20 year-old racer, part of the BRDC ‘Rising Star’ initiative, will drive the car for the first time during Friday’s test sessions.“I’ve had to miss the season opener for the past couple of seasons, so to be out and part of the buzz of the first race meeting, especially with the new model 911 GT3 Cup, is incredibly exciting,” said Hill.“I’ll drive the car for the first time in testing on Friday so until then we won’t know where we’re at in terms of pace. My team mate Paul Rees has had some positive testing and that will help, and Nick Dudfield and the guys at In2 Racing are a great bunch, so I can’t wait.“Once I’ve driven the car on Friday I’ll know where we are. I’m competing in the Pro category against guys like Michael Meadows and Josh Webster so it’s going to be really tough.”
