Villorba Corse to debut Blancpain Endurance Series

in the GT3 world with Castellacci, Gai and Rizzoli behind the wheel of their Ferrari 458

Villorba Corse “racing with Ferrari” team will debut in the world of GT3 cars with a brand new racing programme in the 2014 Blancpain Endurance Series.

The Italian squad led by Raimondo Amadio will enter a Ferrari 458 in the Pro-Am category. The drivers, young and talented, will be Francesco Castellacci, Stefano Gai and Andrea Rizzoli, who are experienced enough to compete in a prestigious and very challenging international series such as BES, developed by the SRO Motorsports Group and the Royal Automobile Club of Belgium with approval from the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA).

After a quiet but very busy winter Villorba Corse is ready to start the season with a long-term strategy and the aim to succeed in the GT3 world as already done in their GT2 programme last years

The Blancpain Endurance Series is starting from Monza, April 13, Villorba's home race, and then will visit Silverstone (May 25), Le Castellet (June 28), Spa (July 27) for the legendary Total 24 Hours and the Nurburgring (September 21).

“Our entry into the GT3 world - says Amadio, Team Principal - is the proper continuation of our work. We are honoured to be able to do it with Ferrari and to compete in one of the most important international championships. It will be a busy season, but we have a very well matched crew of three young drivers. We are ready and we are going to push hard.”
