Round 4: Modern Tyre Service Mourne Rally, 7 June

Derek McGarrity and co-driver James McKee claimed victory on the Mourne Rally to extend their championship lead.

The pair are now firmly on the ‘Road to Wales’ with a free entry to Wales Rally GB, the final round of the FIA World Rally Championship, on offer to this year’s MSA Northern Ireland Rally Champion.

Local expert David Armstrong finished a close second in his Mk2 Escort, while Alastair Cochrane now has a strong lead in the two-wheel-drive category.
