MSA British Superkart Championship

Rounds 3 & 4: Silverstone, 7-8 June

Dan Clark took the championship lead with a win and a second place at the Motors TV live event at Silverstone.

Reigning champion Paul Platt led race one for five laps until his rear tyres went off. That gave Clark the opportunity to pass, despite being down on power along the Hangar Straight as the motor was running rich. Once ahead Clark was able to pull away and win by five seconds.

In race two Platt again took the lead at the start but on the third lap he over-revved the engine and retired. Clark took over at the front but Gavin Bennett was closing in, and after trading the lead multiple times he came out on top by less than a second at the chequered flag.
