Summer of British Club Racing at Rockingham‏

THE motorsport season is set to resume at Rockingham next month (July) following a short break in the racing calendar with four race meetings in quick succession.

With advance adult tickets priced at just £10 per day and free admission for children aged 16 and under, fans can enjoy a feast of motor racing from the British Club scene at an affordable price.

Returning for a second consecutive season, the Northamptonshire circuit welcomes back the 750 Motor Club race series over the weekend of July 5/6, featuring more than 20 races from 13 different championships.

Spectators are sure to be entertained with the promise of bustling grids from an eclectic mix of cars from hatchbacks and BMWs to single seaters and custom built machines, with all the action taking place on the International Super Sportscar Long Circuit.

The British Racing Sports Car Club (BRSCC) provides the entertainment over the weekend of July 12/13, and spectators are in for a treat with some of the closest and most exciting racing in UK motorsport on show.

One of the world’s most famous sports cars will be descending on the circuit when Caterham brings its five championship series to Rockingham - a real delight for enthusiasts of racing, overtaking and general mayhem.

A firm favourite at Rockingham - the Pickup Truck Championship – also features on the bill and brings its own unique brand of racing to the UK’s only banked Oval and Europe’s fastest racing circuit for a second time this season.

The action switches to two-wheels over the weekend of July 26/27, when the UK’s second largest bike race series roars back into Rockingham, for what has now become a traditional date on the ThundersportGB calendar.

Considered one of the most exciting and varied series in British motorcycle racing with up to 20 different championship titles being contested over 34 action-filled races, ThundersportGB takes place on the International Motorcycle Circuit.

The British Automobile Race Club (BARC) completes the quartet of events with a second visit to Rockingham over the weekend of August 9/10. The racing switches to the National Circuit, with action from the UK National Legends Car and Caterham Graduates.

The race meeting will also feature two rounds from the popular Pickup Truck Championship, which always guarantees to deliver exciting racing with wheel-to-wheel action at speeds of up to 150mph.

As always at Rockingham all tickets include access to a grandstand seat offering panoramic views of the entire circuit, the pit garage roof and race paddock, which means there are no hidden costs.

Rockingham prides itself on providing access to all motorsport fans, and those who are registered disabled can apply for a complimentary* admission ticket for their carer, while children aged 16 and under get in FREE.

Advance tickets can be booked online at www.rockingham.co.uk or via the hotline on 01536 500500, option1, until midday on Friday, May 23. Adult tickets will be available on the gate priced £15 per day. Gates open at 08:00 both days and track activity starts from 09:00.
