Trident: We had a great pace all weekend

P1 - JOHNNY CECOTTO

Johnny was author of a exhilarating start that saw him slip out right away in the first position and was the absolute leader for the entire race. He was capable of taking advantage of every cm of the track without making an error, managing at the best the tires and being able to control the attacks from Rossi, Marciello and Coletti. The car demonstrated once again that it is without a doubt competitive and this gives a lot of trust to the Team that maintains the third position in the final classification.

DRIVER's QUOTE:"We had a great pace all the weekend, we took pole in Qualifying and unluckily because of a spark plug we lost engine power in Race 1 which cost us a podium finish but with a great start today we took the lead of the race. Which was only the beginning of a long and difficult race because at the beginning Rossi was pushing me so I couldn't conserve the tires after him Marciello started to push me until about two thirds in to the race. When he started to back of I thought that I could relax a little until my engineer came on the radio and said that Coletti was catching us quick so I had to push again until the end. It was a very tough race but a great satisfaction and a great job from the whole team, thank you Trident especially all the mechanics and engineers".

P9 - SERGIO CANAMASAS

Sergio that started from 15th place position, after a good start, carried out several overtakings in the first laps that brought him only a breath away from the point zone. The race pace was always good and constant but the race continued without particular developments for Canamasas until the chequered flag. The final weekend result was in any case positive given his continuous improvement.

DRIVER's QUOTE:"This weekend was very positive given that I demonstrated a continuous improvement and was very close to the point zone in the Sprint Race. It is a real pity that I was not able to try this track before this race weekend because I am sure I could have fought for the podium. In any case, my feeling for the future is surely positive. I am carrying out a season with a constant growth and without making errors and I am very confident for the next race, on tracks more favorable for me I will be able to earn great satisfactions like those in Monaco. Thanks to the Team for the results obtained during this race weekend and all my attention goes to the next transfer in England".
