Saturday Night Fever for Villorba Corse in the Blancpain Endurance

Italian team lines up Castellacci, Gai and Rizzoli on Ferrari 458 for the third round of the championship to be held during late evening at Le Castellet

Scuderia Villorba Corse and its Ferrari 458 GT3 get back in the Blancpain Endurance Series at Le Castellet. The third race of the international championship will start at 19:15 on Saturday June 28th and will run into the dark, with a finish at 22:15. After a thrilling podium at Monza and a top-five finish at Silverstone, Francesco Castellacci, Stefano Gai and Andrea Rizzoli, from third position in the standings, aim to be confirmed among the major Pro-Am Cup title contenders in a very tough weekend which marks the last three-hour race of the season, with the remaining two races of the 2014 Blancpain Endurance Series being the Total 24 Hours of Spa on July 26th-27th and the Nürburgring 1000 on September 21st. Italian team is expecting a very demanding challenge in France, not only because of the visual changes between dusk and night, not an easy job for the drivers, but also because the talented Villorba trio will face over 40 rival GT cars again, half of them in Pro-Am category.

“We get back in the Blancpain world after a series of significant improvements and results - says Raimondo Amadio, Team Principal -; Le Castellet will be very important for several reasons. The race will run into the dark and we must take advantage of it also as a training session for Spa. Therefore we will try to optimize our work to confirm Ferrari's reliability and to plan an effective strategy. We want to clinch valuable points on one of our favourite track.”

After Friday's free practice sessions, on Saturday qualifying practice is scheduled at 11:20. The race will start at 19:15 and will be broadcasted live on www.blancpain-gt-series.com (clicking on GT TV) and (also deferred or through highlights) worldwide on many TV channels.
